OUR BOAT RELATED ACTIVITIES
Discover all the activities available to you if you rent a boat with Bat’ÔLoc in Cap d’Agde, Languedoc Roussillon. You can tow a tube or other towable equipment (water skis, wake-boards), explore our local heritage or Cap d’Agde harbour (one of the largest in Europe!), discover the oyster beds in the Etang de Thau or cruise the small canals of Sète, or even take a swim in front of the volcanic cliffs of Cap d’Agde. Come to Bat’ÔLoc and we’ll share our knowledge of the area as well as our passion for boating.
GRAU D’AGDE AND THE HERAULT RIVER
The Herault River at the heart of Agde town:
Tour of 3 to 4 hours approximately, on a boat with or without licence, you will travel by sea to the Town of Grau d’Agde. This small charming fishing village marks the entrance to the Herault. You will cruise past fishing boats before reaching the heart of Agde town where you’ll discover its Cathedral built with volcanic rock.
What about a swim in the sea (along the beaches of Grau d’Agde) before your return to Cap d’Agde?
SÈTE AND THE ETANG DE THAU
The Etang de Thau is a tidal lagoon separated from the Mediterranean sea (Gulf of Lion) by a buildup of sand linking the Volcano of Agde and Sète hill (mont Saint-Clair). Thus, on a boat with licence, if you take a tour of half a day to a day you may explore the fishery ports of Mèze or Marseillan before rejoining the canals in Sete. Why not stop to sample oysters and mussels at a local producer in Bouzigues for example? The Etang de Thau tour takes a full day, while you can visit Sète in half a day only.
THE CLIFFS AND ROCKY COAST OF CAP D'AGDE
This is a tour of roughly two to three hours on a boat with or without licence. Discover the fabulous volcanic landscape that shapes our Cap d’Agde coast.
At the end of the harbour you’ll follow a little beach before reaching the Grande Conque Bay where you will see the big cliff called “Rocher des Deux Frères”, right at the entrance of the bay.
Then you will cruise past all the volcanic cliffs and black beaches that are a main characteristic of Cap d’Agde.
This particular scenery might tempt you to take a swim before returning to the harbour.
